Stronger Every Day
The passage of time can feel like a double-edged sword.
When we think about aging, it’s often framed as something negative—like we’re on a slow, inevitable decline. I hear it all the time:
“That’s just part of getting older.”
As if every passing day is just a slow agonizing march to slow decrepitude and eventual death.… so why bother?
That mindset drives me insane.
Yes—it’s true. You will never be younger than you are right now. And technically, every day you’re the “oldest” version of yourself.
But that’s only one way to look at it.
Think about all the other areas in life where time is an asset:
The years you’ve stayed consistent with your workouts
The time you’ve spent moving away from destructive habits
The compound growth of your investments
Even something as simple as keeping a plant alive
In those situations, time represents progress, not decline.
So what if we viewed aging the same way?
What we’re really chasing isn’t youth—it’s vitality. And the two are not the same.
I work with people across all age groups, and I can tell you this:
some of the strongest, most capable movers I see are not the youngest.
In fact, many younger individuals haven’t yet developed strength, coordination, or solid movement patterns. We often confuse being thinner or younger with being healthier—but that’s not always reality.
There’s also this idea that we “peak” in our youth.
But that only applies if you’ve been training consistently, intelligently, and at a high level for years—like a professional athlete pushing the limits of human performance.
For most people… that’s not the case.
Which is actually great news.
Because it means there is still so much room to improve.
If you’re new—or even just getting more intentional—with strength and functional training, you are not declining.
You are building.
So instead of saying, “I’m just getting old,”
try replacing it with:
“I’m getting stronger every day.”
My mission is to help you unlock your most capable self.
Not to be the best in the world.
Not to be better than everyone else.
Just to become the strongest, most capable version of you.
We live in a world that constantly pushes comparison—but that mindset works against you. If you’re showing up, putting in the effort, and giving what you have… that is your most capable self in that moment.
And over time, your capacity grows.
You’ll be able to give more.
And you’ll get more in return.
It’s also worth putting things into perspective.
When you catch yourself complaining about your knees, your back, your ankles—remember:
there is someone out there who would give anything to have exactly what you have.
Every day you wake up—aware, capable, and able to move—is a win.
The passage of time isn’t something happening to you.
It’s something you’re actively participating in.
Every day you’re still here—still moving, still training—is a victory.
So whether you age like fine wine… or turn into vinegar,
make the most of what you’ve got.
Because either way—there’s value in it.
