My name is C.J.
I am an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a 250-Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor.
My speciality is helping women build foundational strength.
What does that mean? Simply put, I teach your body to push, pull, and lift safely and efficiently by developing strong, functional movement patterns throughout the kinetic chain. This includes identifying the origin points of force production in the body and learning proper breathing techniques to channel the energy you are creating in the direction you want it to go!
My mission is to help you develop a strong capable body and mind that will enhance your quality of life in the present and for years to come.
I hope to accomplish this by helping you build core competencies of strength, power, endurance, mobility, and improving the mind and body connection. This is also known as General Physical Preparedness.
I employ many different methods to help you achieve a competent, healthy, and sustainable physique.
Over the years I have studied a variety of training modalities including yoga, Muay Thai, powerlifting, bodybuilding, and “functional fitness.” However, I believe there is no one-size-fits-all method of training. There is a time and place for everything.
